I wasn't quite sure how to go about transferring the vision I had for Antiquity's Gate onto a cover that would do it justice. After all, I've poured my soul into these stories, shouldn't the covers reflect the same kind of love?
I see a lot of people trying to justify their own reasoning on Traditional Vs Indie publishing. I want to share why I'm making the choices I'm making on my journey, and maybe they'll help someone else on their own path!
If you write, you know there are a few basic kinds of writers. The kind who plot everything out, and the kind who fly by the seat of their pants. For the longest time, I was the latter.
My first experience with a real editor and my thoughts on the whole beautiful ordeal.
That is what brings me to this place, time and again. I am drawn to the Texas Roadhouse, not because I am one who can afford steak on the regular, but because of their soft warm buns, heaped in unassuming baskets and freely given, alongside that butter—oh, that butter.

“Who was it?” I demand, trying to keep my voice cool and collected while my insides writhe uncomfortably. None of them make eye contact. They look around, focusing on a crumpled paper towel by the trashcan, or the dishes stacked by the sink, or the dog. Anywhere but at me.
